Grief Support Groups

Grief Support for the Whole Family

Every other Monday, January to May

6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Calm Waters Grief Support Groups are ongoing. Families, children, ages 3 to 18, and individuals, may join a support group at any time and attend as long as needed.

Groups are segmented by who the person is to them such as spouse loss, child loss,  or infant loss, and anticipatory grief. Families will attend the same night together and participants are divided by developmental age, type of death, and their relationship to the deceased loved one. Consistent attendance is most beneficial for the family. Families are expected to call in advance if they need to miss a group session.

Due to the rapid rise of COVID-19 rates, all Calm Waters center-based groups will be held virtually. Please register below, virtual links and information will be sent to your email.

Once your online registration form has been submitted, a Calm Waters’ staff member will contact you within two business days to schedule an intake appointment prior to joining a group. For more information about any of Calm Waters’ Support Groups, please contact Hannah Showalter, LMSW, Assistant Director of Programs, at Hannah@calmwaters.org or call the office at 405-841-4800.
