Anticipatory Grief Support Group

Anticipatory Grief Support for the Whole Family

Every other Monday, August to June

6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

All Calm Waters Grief Support Groups are on-going. Families, children, ages 3 to 18, and individuals, may join a support group at any time and attend as long as needed.

Grief Support Groups are segmented by type of loss such as long-term illness, suicide, homicide, accidental death, infant loss and anticipatory grief.

Families will attend the same night together and participants are divided by developmental age, type of death, and their relationship to the deceased loved one.

Consistent attendance is most beneficial for the family. Families are expected to call in advance if they need to miss a group session.

Once your online registration form has been submitted, a Calm Waters’ staff member will contact you within two business days to schedule an intake appointment prior to joining a group. For more information about anticipatory Grief Support Groups, please contact Hannah Showalter, LMSW, Assistant Director of Programs, at or call the office at 405-841-4800.
