Calm Waters Offers ‘Couples and Cabin Fever’ a Virtual Workshop on Feb. 18
Online, Thursday, February 18, 12 to 1 p.m.
Oklahoma City, OK, February 2 – Calm Waters Center for Children and Families, the only grief center in Oklahoma offering free grief support services to children and families, is offering a post-Valentine’s Day relationship workshop on Thursday, February 18, 12 to 1 p.m.
Calm Waters’ latest free workshop, “Couples and Cabin Fever” is an online seminar for couples experiencing unprecedented stress as a result of the ongoing pandemic. The workshop is ideal for couples who are struggling to manage and communicate expectations and emotions and are feeling overwhelmed with too much “togetherness.”
“We are all feeling grief as a result of COVID-19, and that grief can come out in ways we don’t know how to manage, especially couples who are spending more time together than usual,” said Erin Engelke, Executive Director of Calm Waters. “Our free, virtual workshop is just what we all need right now to manage our emotions and learn healthy coping skills, individually and in our close relationships.”
The February 18 online workshop, led by Calm Waters’ in-house clinicians, Heather Warfield, LMFT and Jordan Park, LMFT-candidate, will discuss coping skills and relationship hacks to solidify home relationships during this period of cabin fever.
Register by February, 17, 5 p.m. at https://www.calmwaters.org/couples-and-cabin-fever/
