OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Calm Waters Center for Children and Families, the only grief center in Central Oklahoma offering free grief support services to children and families, will host its free Summer Grief Workshop, on Sunday, June 2, 2 to 4 p.m., at the Edmond Fine Arts Institute, 7 East Edwards Street, Edmond. This free event is sponsored by Baggerley Funeral Home and Memorial Park Funeral Home & Cemetery.
Calm Waters’ Summer Grief Workshop is a free community event that will teach families new ways to celebrate summer holidays while also honoring past traditions.
Calm Waters’ on-staff therapists will lead focused grief curriculum that provides tools to cope with loss as those in grief navigate warm-weather traditions that were once celebrated with loved ones who have died.
“This may be your first Father’s day without dad in charge of the grill or the first lake trip without grandma,” said Erin Engelke, executive director of Calm Waters. “We invite anyone who is living in grief to register today for this workshop, so we can share a few new tools on how to honor your passed loved ones and thrive throughout this summer.”
Register your family’s attendance today at firstname.lastname@example.org.
