At Calm Waters, volunteers are the backbone of our organization.
Volunteers have the option to serve in several capacities including leading support groups, assisting at special events or performing administrative duties.
Calm Waters’ volunteers come from all walks of life but share a sincere desire in helping the families we serve, heal.

Support Group Leaders and Co-Leaders
Leading and facilitating Calm Waters Support Groups is an immensely rewarding experience that can foster healing change in the lives of others.
Our Support Group Leaders work with children ages 3-18 years of age and their guardians. A supervisor remains on-site while group sessions occur.
Training is required before a potential Leader may begin facilitating support groups.
Training is provided on an as needed basis.
If you are interested in becoming a Support Group Leader or Co-Leader, please complete the volunteer application below. An interview, two references and an OSBI background check are required.
If you would like more information about how you can make an impact in the lives of children and families; call us at 405-841-4800.
Administrative Volunteers and Internships
We love working alongside members of our community who have a passion for our mission. Our administrative volunteers are invaluable and provide hands on help – right here in the office! Whether we are working on a large mailing, assembling materials or an upcoming event or answering incoming calls – we need your heart for service!
For more information about volunteering in the Calm Waters office, please contact Nicole Wayne at email@example.com or 405.841.4800
Calm Waters takes pride in our amazing interns! If you are interested in applying for an internship, please fill out the Intern Application and mail, email firstname.lastname@example.org, or fax (405.841-4803) it to us. Contact Misty Gillespie with any questions.
At the end of a Support-Group, we celebrate our participants and the journey they have been on by providing them with dinner before Group. We are always looking for community-minded companies that would be willing to host an appreciation dinner for participants. Hosting a dinner includes providing food for 50 individuals, serving, set up and clean up. If you are interested in hosting a Group dinner, contact Nicole Wayne.
