Divorce Support Groups

Divorce Support Groups for Adults and Children

Every other Thursday, from 6:30 to 7:30 PM
Fall Groups (Aug-Dec) Spring Groups (Jan-May)

Calm Waters offers free divorce support groups for ages three-years-old to adults. In order to attend divorce support groups, children must be aware that their parents are divorcing. Co-parents who were never married and undergoing a custody change may also attend a group.

Family members are divided into age-appropriate groups, including children groups, teen groups, and adult groups. All family members may attend, or a single adult; minors cannot attend groups without a guardian on site. Both parents are welcome to attend as we have two adult groups so that each co-parent may attend their own group. Consistent attendance is most beneficial for the family.

Once your registration form is received, a Calm Waters staff member will contact you via email before joining a group to provide information about the group or schedule an in-person orientation.

How to Reserve Your Spot for Each Group Session:

  1.  Complete the above registration. The program staff pulls new registrations weekly and sends a welcome email after reviewing the registration.
  2.  Before the group, you will receive an email with a link to reserve a place for you and your family members via SignUp Genius. Directions are attached in the email but please contact us if you need assistance.
  3.  Click the link and reserve a spot for yourself in the group title related to your loss.
  4.  If bringing your child to the group, please place them in their age group (please include names for each spot so we know who to expect)
  5. If you reserve a spot and you cannot attend, please let me know so we can open the spot up to another group member.
  6. If you go to reserve a spot and there are none available, please contact the program staff.

Divorcing, separated, or uncoupled parents are encouraged to participate in Calm Waters’s Co-Parenting Seminar.

Co-Parenting Seminar is a four-hour Oklahoma court-mandated seminar for divorcing parents.
This seminar meets court requirements for a co-parenting or parenting class for parents involved in the divorce process.
