Divorce Support Groups

Divorce Support Groups for Adults and Children

Fall 2024 Divorce Support Group Registration will open in July – please stay tuned

Calm Waters provides FREE divorce support groups for children (ages 3+) and adults.

On Divorce Support Group nights, Calm Waters hosts children and adults in our downtown Center, providing a safe space for families to process their grief and learn how to cope with loss and change. Children are placed in groups based on developmental age, and adults are separated into groups ensuring they are not with their ex-partner. 98% of support group participants report feeling less overwhelmed, more hopeful and resilient, and are better able to process their emotions in school, the workplace and in life overall.

Join us for the Summer Chat Series

In-Person Divorce Support Groups are paused during the summer and will resume this fall. Until then, adults are encouraged to join us virtually each week for continued support.

Once your registration form is received, a Calm Waters staff member will contact you via email before joining a group to provide information about the group or schedule an in-person orientation.

How to Reserve Your Spot for Each Group Session:

  1.  Complete the above registration. The program staff pulls new registrations weekly and sends a welcome email after reviewing the registration.
  2.  Before the group, you will receive an email with a link to reserve a place for you and your family members via SignUp Genius. Directions are attached in the email but please contact us if you need assistance.
  3.  Click the link and reserve a spot for yourself in the group title related to your loss.
  4.  If bringing your child to the group, please place them in their age group (please include names for each spot so we know who to expect)
  5. If you reserve a spot and you cannot attend, please let me know so we can open the spot up to another group member.
  6. If you go to reserve a spot and there are none available, please contact the program staff.

Divorcing, separated, or uncoupled parents are encouraged to participate in Calm Waters’s Co-Parenting Seminar.

Co-Parenting Seminar is a four-hour Oklahoma court-mandated seminar for divorcing parents.
This seminar meets court requirements for a co-parenting or parenting class for parents involved in the divorce process.
